Rushel Shell, Hopewell set 2 records when his Vikings were defeated by Franklin Regional. In the loss, Shell rushed for 292 yds on 33 carries  He first set a national record when he recorded his 39 consecutive 100-yard game, breaking the old record set by Billy Sims from Hooks, Texas. He also became Pennsylvania's all-time career rushing leader as he broke Jeremiah Young's record of 9,027 yards (2005-2008). Shell finished his career with 9,078 yards.

 

Josh Wing, Bangor area, ran for 127 yards in the Slaters' 35-13 loss to Pottsville. That pushed his single season rushing total to 1,843, a new school record.

 

When Nazareth's Adam Bridgeforth caught a 47-tard touchdown pass in the Eagles win over Delaware Valley, he broke the school record for the most receiving yards in a single season with 1,030.

 

Steve Franco, Tyrone Area, broke his own single season touchdown pass record of 19 when he throw for 2 touchdowns in Fridays' win over Bedford. He now has 21 touchdowns on the season breaking his record of 19 was set last year. Franco now has 55 career td passes also a Tyrone record.

 

Matt Bodamer, junior QB for Port Allegany, went over the 6,000 yard passing career mark on Saturday, November 12 (week 11). Matt is only the fourth District 9 QB to surpass the 6,000 yard level.

 

Kyle Troutman broke Line Mountain’s single-season rushing record (1,701 yards) set by Dave Zerbe. Zerbe established that 25-year-old standard in 1986.

 

Dylan Evans of Pen Argyl broke the school's single season rushing record against Pine Grove last week.  Evans now has 1,653 yards on the season, breaking Dan Ruggerio's record of 1,642 yards set in 2006.

 

Sophomore A.J. Long of Pius X leads the area with 35 td passes this year.  The 35 td's ties the single season school record and District 11 sophomore record that Cole Hildabrant held since 2004. Long's 164 completions also breaks the District 11 sophomore record held by Hildabrant who had 154.
