David Soldner, Manheim Townhip, continued his assault on state records after his final game of his career on Friday night.  He has now set a new state record for most points in a career (2005-2007) with 235 as of last nights game. He also extended his number of field goals for the season to 20 with the previous state record being 13. He also set a new state record for best PAT kicking career with 130 out of 136 PATs for a 95.59% average. He also tied the current state record of Most Field Goals in a Career with 35. He tied the state record for most field goals in a game with 4 in his 2006 season.

He has also extended 6 of all 10 kicking records he now holds at Manheim Township. These include: Longest field goal (2007) - 50 yards, most kicking points in a season (2007) with 98, most field goals in a season (2007) with 20, most kicking points in a career (2005-2007) with 235, most field goals in a career (2005-2007) with 35, and most PATs in a career (2005-2007) with 130. He is also in second place with the most points in a career (2005-2007) with 235 (first place is 254).


Mercyhurst Prep won it's first football District Ten title by defeating Mercer 21-19. Also in that Game Billy D'Andera surpassed the 1000 yd rushing mark joining Joe Jelinek to give the Lakers 2 1000 yds rushers. Jelinek has 1169 and D'Andera has 1003.


Kane High School won it's first ever District 9 Title last weekend, beating Cameron County 14-6

Zach Anderson went over the 2000-yard passing plateau, which is believed to be the most ever by any Kane quarterback.
