ATTINICK MEDIA LLC ACQUIRES PENNSYLVANIA FOOTBALL NEWS
Attinick Media announced today that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the Pennsylvania Football News.
The acquisitions combines two entities with similar mission statements - to promote amateur football in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Football News (PFN) was founded in 1997 by Rich Vetock and Tom Elling. It started as a small publication dedicated to the coverage of high school football and grew into one of the premier brands of covering the game in the Keystone State. PFN has people involved from every district in Pennsylvania and has moved over to a digital format in recent years. The PFN state rankings, all-star teams and PFN Resource Guide have become staples of high school football coverage in the commonwealth and will continue under new ownership.
Attinick Media has been covering high school football since 2010 with an emphasis on broadcasting and internet. Under the NPF Network umbrella, over 150 live games and broadcasts were heard on radio, internet and mobile devices at the website www.NortheastPaFootball.com.
"We are officially retiring as co-editors of Pennsylvania Football News, said PFN founders Rich Vetock and Tom Elling in a joint statement. "We want to applaud the many contributors who helped us realize a dream of providing the first-ever newspaper dedicate to Pennsylvania High School football. Without these contributors, it would have been impossible to produce the paper and the subsequent website."
"We have turned the site over to Chris Kucharski, and we feel very comfortable that Chris will maintain the brand in a highly professional manner. We would like to take this time to wish Chris and his staff the very best and ask that everyone continues to support high school football in the Keystone State. "
"I am both honored and privileged to take over the reins at PFN, " said Kucharski, CEO of Attinick Media LLC. "The impact both Rich and Tom have had on high school football in PA is immeasurable. We will keep doing many of the things that made PFN what it is today and also move the brand forward into the digital age. We will be launching a new website in August at the same address,www.PaFootballNews.com, as we prepare for the 2014 season."
